Spiral Galaxy 28948

E2 E4

Last month I saw a very vivid shooting star with my daughter, we watched it shoot across the southern sky; it was visible for almost 3 seconds and was like a sparkler, flaring at one end, it was reminiscent of medieval representations of comets...it is time to watch the skies again.

The Urge begins. Heaton Moor, Stockport. 1985

The Skull logo on the petrol tank was my first commission, from my friend Jock Anderson in 1985. The first proper painting. Where I learned frustration and fascination, and the edge between different layers. The skull was an agonising project, I was desperate to get it looking good, but I was never satisfied. Even now I can see what I want to change, and I will, the skull is like all painting, unfinished.

The Rezzable creators produce amazing thematic sims and interventions.
The Greenies invaded the Grid a long time ago and some say they have always been here, watching and waiting.

s'asseoir

Belle chaise.
By minna at fabulous souls records.
Sit down in style, after a hard nights cartoon dancefloor action, where better to rest ones polygon legs. Classic design retrovitalised in the virtual multiverse...anime reveries of vinyl and nylon.

Where the soul trees grow

More from Nero and minna at Fabulous Soul Records.
The urge is to dance.

scratch, hiss, crackle

Yeye record shelf with turntable, by Nero Basevi and minna Beaumont at Fabulous Soul Records.
The lure of vinyl permeates the digital layer. As each pixel is a soulless heart, so the soul is born in the recreation of tactile, sensual design forms.

beatbox beach

beatbox by Viti Lamatia.
A romantic relic buried in the sands.
The line between form and function is as imaginary as the world formed on the head of a pin.
In virtual reality all forms of design are imagined as functional.
The leap of faith is implicit and barely considered except in retrospect.
It is a dream of design, on an island of mirrors, where old ideas are turned in the pixel tides and washed up on a cartoon beach.
